I received a Bachelors of Science in Elementary Education from the University of West Florida in Pensacola, Florida in December of 2006.  I am currently working on my Masters of Administration from East Carolina University.

I was born in Natchez, Mississippi and moved to Milton, Florida at the age of 3.  I graduated high school from Milton High School and then moved on to attend the University of West Florida as an early admittance student.  I pursued a degree in education as it has always been a passion for me.  I taught third grade at W.H. Rhodes Elementary in Milton, Florida for six years. I moved to North Carolina in June of 2013 and taught one year as a third grade teacher at Stateside Elementary in Jacksonville. I then transfer to Dixon Elementary School to be closer to home and continue to teach third grade. I moved to North Carolina to be with my husband who is a pilot in the Marine Corps.  My kids have four legs. I have four dogs, a Yorkie, a Maltese, and two crazy Weimaraners.
